What is a Supporter?

• Supporters are students who are volunteers to accompany and support students who are going through grievance or disciplinary procedures. They also connect students with helpful resources.
• There are supporters at school or department level.
• They are NOT mandatory reporters and strictly adhere to confidentiality agreements.
• They can accompany complainants in Title IX meetings, disciplinary hearings, etc.

  • Confidentiality & boundaries
  • Title IX, disciplinary process overview (clearly distinguished from legal advice)
  • Resources can leverage
